Welcome Dr. Peter M. Buffa

We are pleased to welcome family practice physician Dr. Peter Buffa to the Parkview Rural Health Clinic in Mexia.

He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and earned a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry. Having taken Spanish since the seventh grade and possessing a natural talent for the language, he then attended medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico.

Once he completed medical school and the Fifth Pathway program, Dr. Buffa completed a three-year Family Practice Residency Program in McAllen, Texas.

Dr. Buffa and his wife, Marlene have two children, Peter, Jr., 3 and Laura, 1. He feels that this area is ideal for his family.

Dr. Buffa is a commissioned Captain in the United States Army Reserve Medical Division. He is fluent in Spanish and he describes his approach as a physician as focused and concerned.
